Manufacturing season is in full swing and the last few weeks have been busy! We have made serious progress. Parts are being machined, components are coming together, and the car is starting to take shape.

A few broken tools along the way, but nothing slowing us down. We even had a surprise visitor 🦝. Still a lot of work ahead but we’re not stopping anytime soon. Stay tuned for more updates. ⚙️

A big thank you to everyone who came to watch the Hammond Veterans Day Parade! We are extremely grateful to be able to honor our veterans, and to represent PNW and our team. THANK YOU to the PNW Veterans Service, and for the veterans who joined us in walking the parade. We are so honored to have walked with you. Thank you as well to Marine Sergeant Veteran Jesus De La Cruz, our advisor, for guiding our team and for his service to our country.

Day 4 of Baja SAE South Carolina!
We started our day with patience (and a dash of hope) as we waited for our broken gear to be fixed and returned. While we waited, two of our teammates jumped in trackside to help out with the Carnage Crew!

Our patience paid off halfway through the endurance race when our gear was finally finished! We rushed it over to the track, filed it down to fit perfectly in the gearbox, and after about 45 minutes of reassembly, hit the track for about an hour of racing.

On our very first lap, we were unfortunately rear-ended, causing our rear right tire to debead, but we pushed through, driving 16 laps on that tire! On our final lap, our repaired gear broke again, right as we were being chased down by the infamous Polaris Razor, nicknamed “Frank” (after the combine from Cars 🚜).

We got towed back to the pits, packed up, and called it a wrap. It was a wild day, but we left it all out on the track.

Day 3 of Baja SAE South Carolina:
Our day started with running the acceleration event to secure our spot for the endurance grid. Since we completed acceleration so early in the day, our drivers moved on to run through the practice track to prepare for the next events. After making some minor adjustments, we faced hill climb head on and absolutely crushed our first attempt. We swapped drivers for the next event, the maneuverability course, and placed top 10 with our second attempt! The energy was high, but was quickly interrupted by one of our gears shearing after attempting the hill climb again. Luckily enough, after some searching around, we found a machine shop close by with a talented machinist who was able to get our gear back in business. With a plan in motion, we were able to put our full focus on Sunday’s endurance race. 🏁

Day 2 of Baja SAE South Carolina!
We kicked things off by pulling out of tech to crush our design presentation and the team showed up strong. Right after, we jumped back in the tech line, buttoned up a few minor issues, and kept things moving.
Passed 4WD with ease, knocked out the fixes, and then cleared both tech inspection and final tech inspection. We didn’t stop there! We rolled straight into brake check and passed on the first try.
Now that the car is fully cleared, Saturday is our time to shine in dynamic events. The car’s ready. The team’s ready.

Day 1 of Baja SAE South Carolina is officially in the books!
We started off strong, passing engine check with ZERO issues and held it down in the tech inspection line to lock in our tech number for tomorrow. 🛠️

After a long day in the sun, we gave the car one last tune-up and she’s looking better than ever! Ready to crush tech inspection first thing in the morning!

But that’s not all… we’re ALSO locked in for our design presentations tomorrow morning! Ready to show off the last year of hard work and engineering!

The energy is high, the team’s focused, and we’re just getting started. Day 2, we’re coming for you.

On September 6th, we participated in the Valparaiso Popcorn Festival! We loved being able to talk about our team with the community there. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, and we hope to see you at the next Popcorn Festival!

It’s Sports Fest time again! We love to showcase our team at the Purdue Northwest Sports Fest. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to see us. We loved meeting and talking with you all!

Our 2025 season callout meeting was a success! We co-hosted our callout meeting with the PNW Formula SAE team. Thank you to everyone who came out, we are looking forward to starting this new season off strong.

Endurance Day: COMPLETE  We have completed the endurance race at Maryland even after 2 CVT failures. This competition was a true test of grit, and our team gave it everything we had.

We couldn’t have done it without the support of our amazing sponsors and everyone who’s been cheering us on. THANK YOU for making this possible.

Now it’s back to the shop to prep for the next challenge — see you in South Carolina this October!
