New Student Highlight: How four Tufts Gordon Institute students turned a simple outreach email into meaningful support and successful career outcomes.

In this article, the journeys of Field, Smriti, Balakrishnan, and Prerana show just a few examples of how TGI and Tufts students find support through our alumni networks, faculty, and university resources.

Last weekend, we celebrated 10 years of Tufts Gordon Institute's MS in Innovation & Management program with an incredible community of alumni, students, faculty, and friends. It was wonderful to see MSIMers reconnect across generations, share stories, and continue building the supportive, collaborative spirit that defines this program. Here’s to the next 10 years. 🐘

Last week, we were excited to welcome back three alumni across our graduate programs to share their career journeys at a Product Management panel. Lia Aftandilian (MSIM'21), Chandini Tadepalli (MSIM'20), and Emily Anderson (MSEM'21), sat in front of an audience of our current graduate students to speak about what it means to be a Product Manager, their journeys after graduating from TGI, and what the future of the field may look like.
Thank you Lia, Chandini, and Emily for joining us last Thursday and giving our students some great insight into Product Management!

Last weekend, Tufts Gordon Institute hosted our March Immersive Experience on the topic of Leadership. Students across our graduate programs came together to learn about various aspects of being a successful leader through hands-on workshops, community-building exercises, and special speaker panels. Last week, our graduate students had another great industry visit at MathWorks! Trish O'Connor, a graduate of the very first MS in Innovation & Management cohort, took everyone on a tour while answering questions about her role as a Principal Program Manager and about the company as a whole. Recent 2025 MSIM alumni Ayah Basmeh, who started at MathWorks this past summer as a Technical Sales Engineer, was also able to come out and say hi!
Students came away with many questions answered and deeper insights gained, as well as some fun baseball hats for good measure! Thank you for a great visit - Trish, Ayah, and MathWorks!
