Associate professor Toby Daly-Engel recently appeared on The Weather Channel to share her expertise on marine conservation. Her insight comes as SeaWorld marks a major milestone: rescuing more than 43,000 animals through decades of dedication to conservation and animal care.

Congratulations to students Russ Smith, Kaitlyn Dunn, Emily Acampora and Quintin Peters on being awarded one of the most prestigious honors available to graduate researchers in the United States—the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship.

Their work has a global impact, supporting research in areas ranging from critical mineral extraction and cancer detection to fibromyalgia and concussion diagnostics.

Congratulations to assistant professor Naveed Mahmud and his student researchers on receiving the Best Paper Award at the 19th Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Dallas Circuits and Systems Conference.

Made possible by their faculty-student collaboration, their research on quantum-classical workflow latency provides a valuable performance blueprint for next-generation quantum systems.
