✨ What I Wish People Knew About Stuttering✨

Here’s what two campers shared last summer about stuttering:

“It is okay to stutter. Your voice is beautiful and should be heard.” 💛

“Don’t blame someone who stutters. It’s just who they are.”

Powerful reminders from voices that deserve to be heard, valued, and respected—exactly as they are.

We’re so excited to introduce Laura Grace, one of our graduate student staff leaders for Camp Dream, Speak Live Summer 2026! 💛

Laura Grace is passionate about creating a space where every camper feels supported, confident, and truly heard. She loves learning about stuttering because it continually challenges her to think beyond fluency and focus on what really matters—connection, identity, and self-expression.

She is especially excited for camp because of the strong sense of community it builds. Watching campers grow in confidence, advocate for themselves, and support one another is what makes this experience so meaningful.

Alumni Advice of the Week 💙

Question: What advice would you give students preparing to enter the field?

Answer:
“Collaborate often. You are treating an entire person, and other professionals have incredible insight beyond our scope.”

Speech-language pathologists are part of a larger team — collaboration helps us provide the best care possible.
