World Languages students: interested in putting your communication, intercultural, and critical thinking skills to work beyond the classroom?

Applications are now open for the Tennessee Legislative Internship Program, a paid Spring 2027 internship in Nashville that gives students the opportunity to gain first-hand experience with the legislative process and the work of Tennessee state government. Eligible juniors, seniors, and graduate students from a variety of academic disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Priority application deadline: September 18

The Memphis Argentine Tango Society (MATS) practices and promotes Argentine social tango as danced in Buenos Aires. MATS offers weekly classes on Wednesday evenings and open practice sessions on Sundays from 5:30–7:00 p.m. at TheatreWorks, 2085 Monroe Ave. Dancers of all experience levels are welcome to participate and learn more about Argentine tango and its cultural traditions.
