Nowadays, the plastic pollution is one of the biggest environmental burdens. Statistics say that annually, we throw away enough plastic to circle the globe 4 times. Also, it has been shown that 50% of the plastic is thrown after the first use.

Our Food Recovery Chapter recovered 551 pounds of delicious food Thanksgiving Day, that would have been otherwise thrown away, and donated it to HOPE. HOPE will be able to distribute this food to those experiencing homelessness in the Memphis community. We are happy to give thanks, fight food insecurity, and homelessness every Thanksgiving.

A special thank you to our team member Raqhelle and her friend Kyree, and all volunteers, that helped make a difference!
