Overview
CBU has an active Intramurals Program that is open to all resident and commuter students alike as well as faculty/staff. Students compete in a wide variety of sports and activities including volleyball, basketball, softball, flag football, soccer and many more. The activities are very informal, but intensely competitive to many groups and individuals. Intramurals are a great way to intera
ct with other students and be active in the University community. Student Learning Outcomes:
As a result of participation in the Christian Brothers University’s Intramural, Recreation, and Community Participation programs, student will demonstrate:
* Teamwork, community building and sportsmanship on and off the field of plan
* Participation in physical activity as well as improve physical and mental health
* Leadership, initiative, and independence when working in groups and teams
* Familiarity, visitation, and use of recreational facilities (including the Swashbuckler and The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center) consistently during the week
* Service to 50% of the total student population at Christian Brothers University
