Members of our Executive Board traveled to Las Vegas to represent UCF PIKE at the Pi Kappa Alpha International Convention, gaining valuable insight into leadership, recruitment, chapter operations, and brotherhood to bring back home to Orlando. Our delegate also sat in on important legislative session where we voted on the future of Pi Kappa Alpha

We’re proud to have earned both the 25 Man Commitment Award and a Outstanding Chapter GPA Award, recognizing the dedication and hard work of our brothers.

It was great to see all of our alumni and the nomination of our new International President, Mattew Greco. We are all incredibly excited for what the future the future holds for this great Fraternity

June marks Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month. Millions of men struggle with depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and other mental health challenges. Too often, many suffer in silence rather than reaching out for help.

This cause is especially meaningful to our chapter. Last fall, we lost one of our brothers to su***de. In his memory, we continue to support efforts that encourage men to check in on one another and have honest conversations about their mental health.

In our bio, there is a link to support the Tyler Jhett Paton Foundation which is helping save lives through accountability and raising awareness about men’s mental health.

PIKE is committed to breaking the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and encouraging open conversations. Sometimes a simple conversation can make all the difference.

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT!

UCF PIKE alumnus Barry Miller recently donated $50 million to UCF’s College of Business, the largest philanthropic donation in university history. Renaming the College of Business to the Barry S. Miller College of Business.

Brother Miller graduated from UCF in 1995 with a degree in finance and went on to become a successful entrepreneur, founding and selling multiple businesses. He currently leads Voloridge Investment Management and Voloridge Health.

Brother Miller credits Pi Kappa Alpha as a key part of his personal and professional development, helping shape the man he is today. He states, “My experience in PIKE ended up being formative. It’s where I learned about being a gentleman, dressing for success, networking, and more.”

He also shared, “To this day, so many of my friends are former fraternity brothers, including one of my best friends, Sean Hayes ’95, who has also been my business partner for nearly 30 years.”

Brother Miller’s success reflects the values PIKE has stood for since 1868. Leadership, professionalism, and lifelong brotherhood. His story reflects the standard our chapter strives to uphold every day: building men who leave a lasting impact on their communities, industries, and the world around them.
