"This summer, I’ll be taking a mission trip to Belize. A couple of weeks ago, I had the burden of trying to finish paying off my school bill while also working to cover the expenses for the trip. One night, while packing and getting things ready to go home from college, I specifically prayed and asked the Lord to provide the money for my plane flight.
The next day happened to be Mother’s Day weekend at Falls Baptist, and we were finishing things up at college. When I got to church from the dorm, Mrs. Diane Moss, who helps lead the interpreting for the Deaf, asked me to come downstairs to the Deaf service and share about my mission trip to Belize.
I explained the trip, answered a few questions, and then they told me they had been taking up an offering for a couple of weeks just for my trip. When they handed it to me, it was more than enough to completely cover my plane ticket.
That moment meant so much to me because I had never personally experienced God providing for me in such a direct and immediate way before. It reminded me that the Lord truly hears every prayer and is able to provide in ways we never expect."
