hools by talking candidly with students about life choices that youth must confront. Our Vision
California is experiencing a high school dropout crisis. Nearly one in four students fails to achieve high school graduation. The consequences of this dropout crisis are devastating and affect California’s public safety, public assistance and economic development future. Our vision is for a healthy, peaceful, compassionate and vibrant community. MCP10% intends to furnish Merced middle school students with a wide range of preferable options. Our youth must understand the devastating life consequences of dropping out of school and the dangers of gang participation. MCP10% hopes that middle school students respond enthusiastically to the message of prioritizing school from young adults who originate from similar at-risk backgrounds. Project 10% does not offer financial compensation. All commitments are on a voluntary basis. Give us your time, and Project 10% provides a wealth of opportunity. Most competitive grad schools, internship programs, and post baccalaureate employment require service to community. What better way to become ambassadors of social change.
