Archives and Special Collections, Madlyn L. Hanes Library Archives and Special Collections, in the Madlyn L. Hanes Library at Penn State Harrisburg, is located on the 3rd floor (Room 303).

During Summer and Fall 2025, the archives is open by appointment only. Please contact us to make an appointment. Featuring our premier and largest archival resource, the Alice K. Marshall Women's History Collection, as well as the Pennsylvania Center for Folklore Collection, we are also proud to preserve the history of Penn State Harrisburg in the College History Archives that documents the academ

ic community and campus life since 1966. We maintain several other small archival collections, including the Herb Field Papers, the Lena Girolami Collection, the Fred Greguras Camp Meade Collection, the Holocaust and Jewish Studies Collection, the J. Randall Plummer Collection, the Three Mile Island Collection, and a collection of rare and special interest materials.

This exhibition provides a photographic retrospective of Penn State Harrisburg in celebration of its 60th anniversary. 10 iconic photographs tell the story of this campus and invite reflection on how much it has grown.
