Career Studies Program

Career Studies Program The Career Studies program offers students with disabilities the opportunity to participate in inclusive learning environments on a college campus.

The mission of our program is to provide enriching and inclusive post-secondary education and career exploration experiences that lead to independence and competitive integrated employment. This inclusive individualized post-secondary education program targets individuals 18-25 with intellectual disabilities who are in their final year of high school or who have completed secondary education. Appl

icants are those who have not been able to access college by meeting typical entrance criteria. The Career Studies program has developed partnerships with Hershey's Chocolate World, Member's 1st Credit Union, and other local businesses to provide the opportunity for job shadow and practicum experiences. The goal of the program is competitive employment through a series of campus and work experiences that identify the student’s strengths and preferences, develop self-confidence and self-determination and other life transition skills.
