Penn State Harrisburg Honors Programs Page for the Honors Program at PennState Harrisburg In short, by entering the Honors Program, you will be joining a community of scholars.

The Honors Program at Penn State Harrisburg is designed to meet the intellectual needs of students who want a little more out of college than is provided by the standard curriculum. The major components of the Program include: interdisciplinary seminars, community service, international travel, supervised undergraduate research, access to an Honors Lounge (library), invitations to enjoy guest speakers, and cultural outings.

Congratulations to Schreyer Scholar Matthew Sharp, who has been a mentor to a FIRST LEGO League team (the Krpton Kittens) for the past two years. He was selected from over 50 coaches and mentors as the FLL Challenge Coach/Mentor Award at the York Regional Qualifying Tournament. According to the FIRST organization, "this award goes to the coach or mentor whose leadership and guidance are clearly evident and best exemplify the FIRST Core Values and Gracious Professionalism."

Many plans were cancelled, due to the government shutdown, but they made a day of visiting various Smithsonian Museums, as well as a guided walking tour of the monuments.
