This past weekend, members of the Penn State Harrisburg DEEC ran alongside faculty, staff, and students in the Lancaster YWCA Annual Race Against Racism, joining over 3,000 other participants in the largest Race Against Racism event in the country! The Harrisburg team finished strong and grabbed some photos from the pre and post event celebrations.

We look forward to drawing more participants for next year's race - keep up with the Harrisburg DEEC to stay informed!

Run or walk alongside faculty, staff, and students in support of the Lancaster YWCA's annual Race Against Racism. Register with team name PENN STATE HARRISBURG to join your campus community!

TIME: 9:00 a.m.
LOCATION: Musser Park, Lancaster, PA
COST: $35 (student exceptions apply)
TEAM NAME: Penn State Harrisburg

STUDENTS: Register through the Engage app (https://is.gd/jaK4lF). The first 60 registrants receive free registration and transportation to and from the event. All others must pay $35 entry fee.

Represent Penn State Harrisburg in the 2024 Race Against Racism!

April 27, Musser Park, Lancaster, PA

Be on the lookout for registration information!

Join your community to name the need, unite with your friends, neighbors, and coworkers, and create change. A 5K race cannot end racism but naming the need is vital, and every step we take together makes a difference. We will keep running until injustice is rooted out, institutions are transformed, and the world sees women, girls, and people of color the way we do: Equal, Powerful, and Unstoppable.

All proceeds from the Race Against Racism support the Center for Racial and Gender Equity (CRGE) and their community education, training, advocacy, and change programs.

Join the PSH Kinesiology's Cultures of Movement Series in welcoming STEP Afrika! to the Kulkarni Theatre!

STEP Afrika! is a dance troupe that has performed for two US presidents and on some of the world's largest stages. PSH is offering two events: a Step workshop for students to learn the cultural dance that is Step, and the chance to see the performance in person.

The workshop will take place on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 11:30 am in CUB 219A.
The performance will take place on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 7:00 pm in the Kulkarni Theatre.
There will be free giveaways and food!
