Welcome to the Official page of the Penn State Harrisburg XGI Chi-Gamma Iota. WE ARE the oldest continually running fraternal organization at The Pennsylvania State University Harrisburg campus. Our intent is to connect our members to the campus and its surrounding veteran community by building a network on and off-campus to support the post-scholastic goals of our members.

Our Story

Welcome to the Official page for Chi Gamma Iota, the oldest continually-running Fraternal Organization at Pennsylvania State University: Harrisburg. Chi Gamma Iota, or XGI for Short, is a Coed Student Fraternity/Group for all Veterans, Active Duty service members, and Reservists currently attending Penn State Harrisburg. What we do: - XGI works with veterans and military service members with transitioning their past or present military life into excelling as students at Penn State Harrisburg in many aspects, from assisting with Military Benefits, Class Tutoring, Mentorship/Internship Opportunities, and adjustment to life as a Penn State Student. - In XGI, we share the same comradery with our members that service members are used to having in the service. We are there to support one another, both on and off campus. - Throughout the school year, XGI conducts multiple on-campus events to promote causes, charities, and student life. - XGI also expands its presence out to the community, partaking in various volunteer events to show support to local charities, causes, and organizations. - In addition to volunteer events, XGI members also enjoy socializing off campus and build great friendships among members. The Veterans Lounge located in the Swatara Building next to the Financial Aid Offices serves as our on-campus space. Please feel free to stop by and say Hi. Thank You for your service.
