Rose State College Rose State is a community college offering more than 60 degree and skilled-occupational programs.

Rose State College offered its first classes on Sept. 21, 1970. Rose State offers more than 60 degree and skilled-occupational programs, many of which prepare students for transfer to a university for completion of a bachelor’s degree. Classes are offered during the day, evening and online in two-, four-, eight- or 16-week terms, providing significant scheduling flexibility. Tuition and fees are a

mong the lowest in Oklahoma, and over $30 million in financial aid and scholarships are provided every year. In 2014, the college broke ground on residential housing, making it the largest and only community college in an urban Oklahoma area to offer on-campus housing to students. Located in Midwest City, OK, Rose State College is just minutes away from downtown Oklahoma City.

Rose State College hosted the annual Art Show and Exhibition at the RSC Performing Arts Center on April 22, 2026. Students showcased paintings, sculptures, murals, and mixed-media pieces that impressed the crowd with creativity and attention to detail. Each year, a panel of faculty and staff from across campus judges the Student Art Show and selects the winners.

Rose State College honored hundreds of graduates during its 2026 commencement ceremonies and celebrated academic achievement, perseverance, and continued growth in degree completion across multiple disciplines.

“This year’s commencement reflects the dedication and resilience of our students and the commitment of our faculty and staff to ensure student success,” said RSC President Travis Hurst. “We are especially proud to celebrate not only degree completion, but the increasing number of students earning multiple credentials and honors.”
