During Nurse’s Week and Teacher Appreciation Week, I was reminded once again why I love what I do. Walking into school and seeing the chalk messages our students created truly made my day. 💙🩺📚

Moments like this are a reminder that education is about so much more than lessons and skills. It’s about relationships, encouragement, and helping students discover their purpose and potential.

I’m incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to combine my passion for nursing with teaching and guiding the future of healthcare.

To our students, parents, families, and the entire EHOVE community..thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and belief in career technical education. We are proud to help prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals!

What a busy and hands-on week in Mrs. Stewart’s Medical Careers class!🩺

The Juniors have been diving into the integumentary system, and they truly brought their learning to life. From understanding the different stages of wounds to actually creating realistic wound simulations on their classmates, they gained a deeper appreciation for both the science and skill behind patient care.

Students also practiced assessing wound drainage and learned proper techniques for applying bandages, essential skills for any future healthcare professional.

We’re wrapping up the week by learning how to perform a simple interrupted suture and how to safely remove them, such an exciting way to build real-world clinical skills!

I’m proud of their engagement, teamwork, and willingness to step outside their comfort zones. The future of healthcare is looking bright! 💙

Here are our next years' ambassadors! In the first picture is Nevaeh King for Dr. Nolan's class and Ella Dauch in Mrs. Stewart's class. These two students will be taking the responsibility of the social media posts for next school year. They were chosen for this role for their leadership and reliability.

Since graduation is coming up our students were asked to share what career they were planning on working in and towards after graduation!

These three students are looking forward to competing at the SkillsUSA State Competitions in May! Caleb is going to be competing in Basic Healthcare Skills, Knox is competing in Healthcare Professional Portfolio and Josh is competing in Health Knowledge Bowl. Students that want to compete in SkillsUSA have the option to compete in a competition related to their lab or they can choose a leadership competition instead.

These two seniors both are working out in their career field. Jenna works at Fisher Titus Medical Center in Norwalk as a Dietary Aide and Caleb works as an STNA at the Bellevue Care Center in Bellevue!
