Surgical Technologists work under the direct supervision of the Surgeon. They provide direct patient care, practice sterile technique, pass instrumentation, and have a clear understanding of anatomy.

We’ve all been working hard to reach our requirements of scrubbing into at least 125 surgeries!

As we continue gaining experience, we’ve had the opportunity to scrub into more complex specialties, including vascular, cardiothoracic, neuro, and orthopedic procedures.

You’ll learn aseptic techniques, instrumentation, and how to assist during procedures while working with advanced medical technology. Students recently wrapped up their ortho unit, where they learned how to mix cement and practiced hooding each other—skills that bring the process to life and show how much timing and technique truly matter!

With a 96% certification pass rate and graduates working at major hospital systems across Ohio, this program is built for real outcomes.
