Our computer science students at Milligan University have lost a true mentor and friend. Rest in peace, Dr. T.

Several of you have asked how to make a donation to Milligan in memory of Dr. T. so I thought I would include the information here.

Would you help me share this information:

Folks can make a gift via Milligan's online giving page at milligan.edu/donate if you would like. Select the “Other” option in the “Designation” drop down menu. When the “Other” box appears, you can indicate you are giving to the Computer Science area in Teresa’s memory.

If you would prefer to send in a check, you can write Computer Science area in memory of Teresa Carter on the memo line. These can be mailed to P.O. Box 750, Milligan, TN 37682.

Dr. Teresa Carter, 71, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023. Dr. Teresa Carter was a lifelong learner as well as a dedicated educator. Very excited about our new majors.

Today we announced that we will add several new programs to meet market needs and student interest. The new programs will launch in Fall 2022 and include: a master’s in coaching and athletic administration; an undergraduate major in criminology/criminal justice; and an undergraduate major and minor in cybersecurity.

Think Like a Programmer Day for Girl Scouts

Milligan College welcomed the Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians to campus on Saturday, Feb. 8, for “Think Like a Programmer Journey Day.” The day included hands-on programming workshops designed to build young women’s interest in technology and computer science. The day ended with the girls dancing to their code.
