Hello all,
In our efforts to find a new home, Project Concern, an emergency food and clothing pantry in Cudahy, is seeking to partner with a consultant experienced in both capital campaigns and nonprofit fundraising to offer us guidance throughout this process. Additionally, our organization is looking for enthusiastic volunteers that are interested in joining our Capital Campaign Committee. Being part of the Committee would entail tasks such as raising community awareness of our campaign to build a new home and helping to form connections. Learn more about us here: projectconcerncudahy.org.

Listening to some Smiths and remembering the time I interviewed Johnny Marr a few years ago. He was touring for his "Call the Comet" album tour and played at the Pabst Theater. Not gonna lie, I was very nervous and starstruck to interview him over the phone--he's one of my favorite guitarists--but it was a great interview! He was so nice and laid-back and we wound up talking for 45 minutes. Probably my favorite musician interview to date 🙂

We asked the influential guitarist about his solo career, his favorite guitars and his healthy lifestyle.

Happy Holidays from Meatball and me. Stay warm everyone!!

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I've posted here. A lot has happened in 2022. In January, I accepted a new position as Fund Developer for Project Concern of Cudahy-St. Francis, Inc., a local food and clothing pantry. It's a wonderful organization with an awesome Agency Director and fantastic group of volunteers! I've learned so much in 2022--mainly grant writing and newsletter publishing--and can't wait to see what 2023 brings.
Also, I'm working part-time as a Packaging Associate for Porchlight Book Company, a full-service book fulfillment company in Walker's Point. The company, and my co-workers, are awesome :-) I really enjoy my job!
I love to learn, through physical books or the internet. To help make my writing skills more marketable, I'm taking the Google Digital Marketing and E-commerce certificate--I'm on course 2 out of 6 right now! I hope this gives me the foundation for the skills needed to write quality, highly searchable web content for local businesses and organizations.
Also, I'm still writing articles for several local publications. I'll post some recent articles here in the next few days.
I wish you all a happy and safe holiday season!
