Professional Cinema Society at UWM

Professional Cinema Society at UWM PCS is a student organization focused on bringing the film community at UWM together.

Our mission is to allow students all across campus a platform to showcase their works, network with others in their field, and explore many more opportunities. We are most notable for hosting the biannual Student Film & Video Festival at the end of every semester.

Hello everyone. We hope you are all staying safe and healthy during this difficult time.

We are sad to announce that UWM Student Stephanie Narvaez has left us a few days ago, and we are all deeply saddened by this tradgedy. Stephanie was an amazing artist and a great friend to many. She helped PCS by designing our last festival’s poster and we appreciate all she’s done for us.

There is a gofundme link below to help her family with any expenses for bringing her home and holding a funeral service. Please donate if you can or share this post to others. Any amount of help is appreciated.

Our thoughts and prayers go to Stephanie and her family and we wish nothing but the best for them during this time.

As most of you know my sister Stephanie is still missing and they haven’t found her yet. This h… Yolanda Narvaez needs your support for Stephanie’s Help Fund

Our Story

Professional Cinema Society began in 1981 as a film fraternity to establish a community of filmmakers on the UWM campus. This is when the the popular Student Film and Video Festival began and gave a platform for students to showcase their creative works.

Over the years, we have acquired numerous sponsors for our events, traveled abroad to partake in film festivals, and have made the Student Film and Video Festival one of the most well known film events on campus. We have enabled students to not only showcase their films and be involved in other UWM activities, but give them experience and connections to take with them after graduation.

Join us on our journey as we continue to watch many more films and explore exciting new opportunities!
