Meet rising senior biomedical engineering major Olivia Bartels! This summer she is interning at MECA - Medical Equipment Compliance Associates, LLC assisting with compliance testing (specifically IEC 60601-1 and 61010-1) ensuring that medical devices are ready for market. So far she's gained experience in electromagnetic compatibility, temperature, mechanical strength and other safety testing on various types of medical devices. Well done, Olivia!

Meet rising sophomore civil engineering major Ava Sipek! This summer, Ava is an intern with the City of Naperville, Illinois in their engineering and transportation department. She is assisting with a resurfacing project that focuses on repairing worn and uneven concrete sidewalks and curbs. Ava is helping an inspector with the entire process from measuring saw cuts made in asphalt and inspecting the extraction and pouring of concrete. Keep up the great work, Ava!

Meet rising junior mechanical engineering major Riley Fink! This summer, she's a quality engineer intern at General Motors in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Riley is working with the launch team assisting with the production release of the new Chevrolet Blazer at her plant, completing tasks such as creating new defect and quality options in their inspection database and helping with PFEMA across the plant. Nice work, Riley!
