Music Collection

Music Collection We welcome members of the Milwaukee community at large. Members of the Milwaukee community are welcome to use the Music Collection.

The Music Collection and Music & Performing Arts Librarian support the UWM Departments of Music, Theatre, and Dance as well as teaching, research, and avocational needs of the entire UWM community. We support the UWM campus needs for Music materials - printed & digital scores, CDs, LPs, Books about music, and streaming audio. In addition we help train new music librarians through our work with the

Coordinated Program in Music Librarianship - a joint degree between the School of Information Studies and the Peck School of the Arts Department of Music. If you would like to check materials out, you may do so by joining the Community Borrowing Program.

Check out the new grad student study space starting next week-- It's right next to the music collection!

The Graduate Student Commons, a collaboration between the UWM Libraries and the Graduate School, will open on Monday, March 24.

Located on the second floor, east wing of the Golda Meir Library, this fully renovated 2,700-square-foot area provides UWM graduate students with a “third space” — an alternative to home and classroom — for studying, networking with peers, and building community.

Access to the Graduate Student Commons is restricted to currently enrolled UWM graduate students using their PantherCard.

A grand opening for the entire UWM community will be held on Monday, April 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. as part of the UWM Graduate Student Appreciation Week activities.
