Marquette LGBT+ Alumni Council The Marquette LGBT+ Alumni Council works to promote diversity and strengthen the Alumni community.

The Marquette Statement on Human Dignity and Diversity clearly articulates a commitment to caring deeply for all members of the community, inclusive of gender and sexual orientation. As the Statement reads: ‘Our commitment to a diverse university community helps us to achieve excellence by promoting a culture of learning, appreciation and understanding.” In order to help further fulfill that missi

on, we hereby form the Marquette LGBT+ Alumni Council to promote diversity and strengthen the Alumni community. The purpose of the Alumni Council shall be to:

• Provide a professional, educational, and social network for LGBTQ+ alumni.
• Foster a sense of pride in and commitment to Marquette University and the LGBTQ+ community.
• Promote and cultivate the interests and continuing excellence of Marquette University, by enlisting the support and participation of LGBTQ+ alumni.
• Promote and support an LGBTQ+ Scholarship for students.
• Foster positive relations between Marquette University and its LGBTQ+ alumni and students and do advise the University on LGBTQ+ issues.

Hey! Marquette is participating in national Give Out Day, TODAY!! It's a day of giving for the LGBTQ community and resources around the US. Our donations will help support the Marquette University LGBTQ+ Resource Center. Learn more and give online today!

We have a limited number of free tickets available for tonight's opening night film of the Milwaukee LGBT Film/Video Festival. The film is "Signature Move". Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis at the pre-film social starting at 6pm at Von Trier. Join us for happy hour, then walk across the street to the Oriental Theatre for the movie screening at 7:30pm.

The first six people who go into Walker's Pint tonight and buy a beverage will get a free ticket to Thursday night's opening film for the Milwaukee LGBTQ Film Festival. So, spend happy hour at the Pint tonight, earn a free ticket to tomorrow night's film, and joining us Thursday at the alumni social at Von Trier at 6pm. Also, on Thursday from 5-7pm they will be selling discounted tickets for the opening night film. So if you miss out on a free ticket tonight, you can always stop in tomorrow for a discounted tickets.

Walkers Pint is located at 818 S. 2nd Street and doors open at 4:40pm
