Congratulations to Donna Spannaus-Martin, PhD, MLS(ASCP)cm, who is the recipient of a 2025-26 Horace T. Morse - University of Minnesota Alumni Association Award for Outstanding Contributions to Undergraduate Education and Angela Birnbaum, PhD, FAES, MLS(ASCP), who is the recipient a 2025-2026 UMN Award for Outstanding Contributions in Graduate and Professional Education. Both were recognized in a reception earlier this month and are pictured here with Provost Gretchen Ritter.

Today the MLS program partnered with the American Red Cross in Minnesota to host a blood drive, as part of our festivities. Our goal was 20 pints and we ended the day beating our goal and collecting 23 pints of blood.
