Considering online learning but wondering how you’ll stay connected along the way?

At Capella, support is built into every step of your journey, so you’re never navigating it alone.

Here’s how it works:

From the start, you’ll connect with a dedicated Enrollment Specialist who can help you navigate the application process, answer questions about transfer credits and walk you through financing options and scholarships.

Once you’re enrolled, you’ll work with an academic advisor who helps you stay on track, plan your courses and supports you through your online classes.

As you move forward, you’ll also have access to Capella’s Career Development Center, where you can access resume resources, build your network, consult with a career coach and prepare for what's next.

You’ll also have access to additional online program support services, including writing support, faculty guidance and 24/7 tech help – so you can focus on learning, not logistics.

Because earning your degree online shouldn’t mean doing it on your own.

What makes a meaningful discussion post at the college level? It’s more than just responding “I agree.”

Strong discussion posts help move the conversation forward. That can mean building on a classmate’s point, respectfully challenging a perspective, connecting the topic to real-world experience or asking thoughtful follow-up questions that encourage deeper discussion.

A great response usually does a few key things:

• Identifies a specific point from the original post
• Adds a new perspective, example, or insight
• Supports ideas with course concepts or personal research
• Encourages continued conversation in a respectful way

Discussion posts are also an opportunity to strengthen skills that matter outside the classroom – critical thinking, communication, collaboration and professional dialogue.

The goal isn’t simply participation. It’s contributing something meaningful to the conversation while helping your classmates think more deeply about the topic too.
