Augsburg University Interfaith Bridge Building

Augsburg University Interfaith Bridge Building Come explore how interfaith friendships enrich our lives At Augsburg University, we believe that we are called to serve our neighbor and engage our community.

True community and service cannot flourish without an understanding of the traditions and faiths that guide the lives of the people around us. Interfaith Bridge Building draws from the rich diversity found in Minneapolis to start conversation and action surrounding interfaith collaboration. We invite middle school and high school students, of all faiths and philosophies, to join us in this ongoing

experience. Through this program, participants will engage common faith values, sacred spaces, holy texts, and leaders from a variety of faith traditions. By learning and understanding, we recognize that interfaith dialogue does not diminish our faith, but instead invigorates our commitments from God to the people around us. Interfaith Bridge Building is an opportunity for spiritual growth and an invaluable experience for young leaders that wish to understand faith traditions more fully.

On Monday, around 200 youth and adults spent their day off at Augsburg College for the Interfaith Youth Day of Service organized by Interfaith Action and Augsburg College. Students across faiths participated in workshops, saw an incredible speech by Ilhan Omar, and joined together to do important service work around Minneapolis.
