🏹 Meet Madelyn Portz, our VP Member Experience!

She is from Brookfield Wisconsin, and is majoring in Strategic Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. A fun fact about Madelyn is that she can speak Spanish!

When asked to reflect on her experiences in Pi Phi, she responded…

“Pi Phi has always felt like home to me, from the very first moment I walked through the doors of the Pi Phi house. Being a part of Pi Phi has shaped my college experience in countless ways. Whether it’s Monday night meetings and dinners at the house or attending date parties, formals, and philanthropy events, Pi Phi is consistently the highlight of my week.

One of my favorite Pi Phi memories was Bid Day 2025. It was so exciting to welcome our newest angels home, and look back on all of our hard work during recruitment. I am so grateful to be a part of such an amazing sisterhood, and I can’t wait to be back on campus with my sisters! 🩷🪽”

🏹 Meet Sophia Solseng, our VP Finance & Housing!

She is from Fargo, North Dakota and is majoring in Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences. A fun fact about Sophia is that she broke her nose from a paddle board!

When asked to reflect on her experiences in Pi Phi, she responded…

“Joining Pi Phi has truly shaped my entire college experience! Coming from out of state and not knowing many people, joining Greek life was the perfect place to find girls so similar to me! Not only has Pi Phi given me friends that I will have for life, but I have grown in more ways than I can count! My favorite part of Pi Phi is our philanthropy Read > Lead > Achieve. Supporting children literacy is especially important to me because of my love for working with kids! Being able to see the impacts our efforts have on children is such a rewarding feeling! Pi Phi will always be such a special place to me, one thag I am so grateful to be apart of! 🤍🤍”

Thank you for your everlasting support, commitment, and the memories you’ve gifted Pi Beta Phi. Each of you have shaped this chapter in more ways than you know, and the impact you leave behind on everyone in MN Alpha will truly last a lifetime.

You have so gracefully embodied the values of Pi Beta Phi for so many years, and we hope to see you carry out those values far beyond your college years!

While we are sad to see you go, we can’t wait to see what the future has in store for all of you. No matter where life takes you, you will ALWAYS have a home here at 1109!
