UMN Medical School Office of Continuing Professional Development We provide high quality continuing educational activities for health care professionals and promote a lifetime of outstanding professional practice.

We are your partner to develop interprofessional continuing education! The Office of Continuing Professional Development (OCPD) is a member of the jointly accredited University of Minnesota Interprofessional Continuing Education team and certifies continuing education activities planned by the healthcare team for the healthcare team. Activity certification is provided for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit

sTM. Additionally, OCPD has experience in developing educational activities and offering credit to healthcare team members, including nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, athletic trainers, psychologists, social workers, counselors, laboratory personnel, etc. OCPD partners with U of M departments as well as external organizations, professional associations and hospitals/clinics to design the format of the educational activities to optimize clinician competence, performance, and patient outcomes, and to meet Joint Accreditation™ requirements.
