ANNOUNCEMENT: SUMMER OF 2023 CBP TOUR!

The CBP in-person tour to the U.S. Port of Entry at the MSP airport is scheduled for Tuesday, July 25th, 2023. The tour is possible through collaboration between MIE, SEVP and the CBP.

The deadline to apply and submit documentation is May 30th, 2023.

Hello MIE - November is just around the corner!

We hope to see you virtually at our next meeting on Wednesday 11/9/2022 from 9AM to 11:30AM.

We will also be having an MIE social on Tuesday 11/29/2022 from 12-3PM at the University of St. Thomas! This is a great opportunity to share a meal with fellow members, network, and participate in some engaging content.

1) Networking picnic on May 25th at 11:30am - 1:30pm in the Minnehaha Falls Park Wabun shelter (the location where we met in October). Lunch will be provided.
2) Upcoming CBP Tour on July 19th at 9:00 - 10:30am.

Apply now to be on the MIE board! There are several board positions open for the 2021-2022 academic year.

The open board positions are:
-Chair Elect
-Secretary
-Treasurer/Membership Coordinator
-Member at Large

Each position is for 2 years, with the chair elect serving as chair in the second year beginning in May 2022. Serving as an MIE Board Member is a great way to get more involved in the Minnesota international education community, and develop valuable leadership skills. If you would like to be considered for a board position, email a letter of interest and a professional biography of less than 100 words to [email protected] no later than Monday April 26th. Biographies will be used on the election ballot to introduce board member candidates. Elections will take place in the coming weeks after April 26. More details on the process of voting for incoming board members will be shared via the MIE listserv.
