Sapphire Ball is a nationwide tradition amongst the various chapters of Kappa Kappa Gamma. This event is not only a great chance to get dressed up but also a fun way to support Kappa's national mental health and well-being initiative.

Our chapter supports Mental Health America (MHA), the nation's leading community-based non-profit dedicated to addressing the needs of those living with mental illness and promoting overall mental well-being.

The price of an adult ticket ($50) covers dinner and a donation to MHA. The student ticket ($25) revenue goes towards MHA as well.

The KKG Sapphire Ball agenda goes as follows:

5:00pm-6:00pm - Arrival, Happy Hour, Raffles, and silent auction bidding

6:00pm-7:30pm - Welcome presentation, Dinner (pasta buffet)

7:30pm-8:00pm - MHA Presentation, KKG Speeches

8:00pm-9:00pm Last call for raffles/silent auction followed by the announcement of raffle and silent auction winners

9:00pm-10:30pm - Students come to the after party! Aventi Entertainment will be the DJ.

It will take place at The Graduate Hotel (615 Washington Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414) Meridian Ballroom. A dinner buffet will be served by The Graduate. There will be raffle tables and silent auction items for guests to buy tickets and bid on to win!

The Sapphire Ball will take place on Friday, November 18th. We hope to see parents, grandparents, alumni, active members, and fellow students!

Ticket sales will close on Monday, November 14 at 11:59 p.m. TONIGHT!

Give a gift to someone you love while supporting Kappa Kappa Gamma’s new philanthropy initiative in support of Mental Health Awareness! Kappa Kandy Grams is an amazing way to show support for Mental Health America whose purpose is to create a welcoming and inclusive community that advocates for an important cause. All profits will be sent directly to MHA.

You are able to choose either 1 candy bar or 3 candy bars that will be delivered directly to the sorority/fraternity of the person you are sending it to. Please include the name and sorority or fraternity of the recipient as well as a note to go along with it 🙂 Feel free to write your name or to stay anonymous.

We are so excited to announce our spring 2021 philanthropy event, the Kappa Klassic in support of Kappa Kappa Gamma’s national philanthropy, Reading is Fundamental! The tournament will take place on April 25th and will have a shotgun start at 1 pm! ⛳️

⋆ Twenty-five million children in America cannot read proficiently. Reading is Fundamental is an organization that addresses the literacy crisis in America by inspiring children through the power of reading by providing quality content to make an impact and engaging communities in the solution to give every child the fundamentals for success!

⋆ The prices for 18-hole tournament include:
$55 for students, $75 for adults
Cart fees are included.

In honor of Reading Across America Day, Kappa Kappa Gamma Chi chapter will be teaming up with Kendra Scott to fundraise for our national philanthropy Reading Is Fundamental.

Reading Is Fundamental is the nation’s largest children’s literacy non-profit organization which is committed to inspiring a passion for reading among all children, providing quality content to make an impact and engaging communities in the solution to give every child the fundamentals for success.

Today only, Tuesday, March 2nd, Kappa Kappa Gamma and Kendra Scott have teamed up through an online giveback event to help fundraise for RIF.

We are so excited to announce our first philanthropy fundraiser of the semester! This week starting tomorrow (February 9th-14th) we will be selling Kappa Kandy Grams. You can either send your Valentine a message with a piece of candy for $2, or a message and a candy bundle for $5. The recipient must be someone in Greek life at the University of Minnesota, or you can also just donate! All of the proceeds from the fundraiser will go to our philanthropy, Girls Academy!
