We’re pleased to introduce the new director of the Worship Collective, Pagel Williams! Here’s what he has to say about his musical journey.
For over two decades, worship has shaped my journey with Christ and my development as a vocalist, drummer, and worship leader. A Chicago native, I was raised by Director Karen Williams, who led choirs at the University of Chicago, and Pastor Pagel Williams Sr. of Glorious Life Worship Center in Blue Island, Illinois, where dance, choir, worship teams, and artistic expression were integral to my formation. My musical journey also includes classical studies at Morgan Park High School and formative experiences at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana, including its Gospel Choir. I am blessed to share life and ministry with my wife, Sarah, and our three children, Kehlani, Pagel III, and Kaleena, who are a meaningful part of my journey. I am grateful for the opportunity to invest in the next generation, helping students cultivate their gifts while discovering how worship and the arts can serve God’s greater work of forming disciples.
