Fundraising Idea of the Month
An idea for club fundraising came up during one of our staff meetings here in Student Development, and I wanted to share with you all!

LUNCH
Nearly every one needs lunch, and specifically staff and employees here at the college value being able make the most of their lunch hours (or half-hours as the case may be). The idea is that your club could provide lunch to staff across the campus. So, it would look like this:

Step 1: Create and hand out an awesome flyer advertising that your club will be taking lunch orders and collecting lunch money on a specific date, and will deliver the lunch on a future specific date.
Step 2: Follow up and take orders, and collect money. Make sure to prices the lunches so that you will make money!
Step 3: Purchase the lunches, arrange them, and deliver them to the people who ordered!

SIMPLE!

The process is now open for clubs to request grants from the Inter-Club Council. The ICC Executive Board will be going over the process with you during the ICC meeting, but it is now open, and your club is welcome to submit a request form.

Ad-hoc room use is now available for all clubs
NOW! All clubs, regardless of level are able to hold ad-hoc (as needed) meetings in the Leadership Lab, provided that it is not in use by another club or event! So, clubs are encouraged to host planning meetings and even mini events in the room. Make sure that nothing is scheduled in the room during the time that you are requesting, by looking on the schedule located on each entrance door to the room.

Event Planning and Spending Forms

We are already getting some wonderful events coming through our office, and we are so excited to see them come to fruition! With that in mind, I want to take the opportunity to remind you to read both the “Please Note” and “Process” sections of the form each time you begin the Event Planning and Spending Forms. An issue that we have been running in to is not receiving a response from advisers within 24 hours of us sending out the request. This is usually because advisers, being extremely busy, may not be looking out for the email in their inbox. In order to complete requests, we need the full amount of time prior to your event/spending date in order to process the request, and we cannot start this process until we receive approval from your adviser. So, in order to avoid having your event/purchase cancelled, it is important for you to not only be discussing the event/purchase with your adviser prior to submitting the request, but follow up with your adviser to make sure that he/she is looking out for the approval request email. We will send one email following up the day after we send the request, and then unfortunately after that, we will unfortunately need to cancel the event or purchase, and you will need to submit the request for a later date.
