So...maintenance personnel repaired a damaged walkway ceiling; I was asked to examine it. I questioned why the ceiling had an odd slope and also observed that the stucco on the fascia was detached. They responded "we just installed ceiling" when I requested that the ceiling be removed.
They reluctantly removed the ceiling and I noticed the ends of the perimeter beams that rested on the column were completely rotted. The corner above this area also supports a column that supports the roof. The stucco was detached as a result of the column load crushing it from above. At the handrail, a TJI joist was wrongly cut around the year 2008 for installation of the handrail post.
This is a common situation in which the effect is corrected without addressing the cause. This was a collapse waiting to happen of a pedestrian walkway.
A retention of a professional engineer will frequently prevent these types of failures; good that this property manager requested a review.

Sea Turtle Inc. is a nonprofit organization open to the p***c that’s which main goal is to provide the community with an all in one center to help educate, rehabilitate, and conserve an endangered species. One of the new facilities they are choosing to build is a new educational center that will house classrooms and offices. These classrooms will allow staff to teach incoming visitors why sea turtles are necessary to our environment, how they are endangered, and what steps they take in order to rehabilitate those turtles who are badly hurt. This building will be outfitted with amazing displays to outline the grand scheme of what makes Sea Turtle Inc. so important.

The structure was designed and built by Samuel Wallace Brooks in 1886 to be the Hidalgo County Courthouse. The building was abandoned as a courthouse when the county seat was moved to Edinburg. After being abandoned the building has been known to serve as community center and U. S. Customs facility before it was greatly damaged by a fire during the early part of 1900 at which time the building lost its second floor, tower and cupola. The courthouse and jail were eventually sold, used as tenant housing, and then abandoned. A major renovation effort of the single-story building during 1983 was attributed to Border Bank who also applied to have the building recognized as a historical structure. The new restoration will restore the second-floor structure, second floor walls and the cupula. The support of the cupula needed to be supported without any interior support that would reduce the open space of the rebuilt second floor. A steel truss system was designed to span the clear span and supported on the exterior walls.

The HEB Soccer Stadium is located at the former Super Splash water park in Edinburg, Texas. The stadium is home to the United Soccer League RGV FC Toros. The stadium is expected to occasionally host Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash (National Women's Soccer League) preseason matches, as well as other matches.
