Parent–Child Participants Needed!

Is your child struggling with reading or getting frustrated during reading time? Do they tend to avoid, argue, or lose focus when reading?

We are currently conducting a study focused on helping families build stronger reading skills while also addressing common behavior challenges during reading. This is a parent-led, supportive program designed to fit into your routine with brief sessions.

We are looking for:
• Children reading at a 1st–3rd grade level
• Families noticing reading and behavior difficulties
• Caregivers willing to participate in short, guided sessions

Participants will gain practical tools to support reading at home and help their child feel more confident and successful.

If this sounds like your family, we would love to connect with you!

🗣️ One of our partner programs, Bridges to Speak, held a training for 18 SLPs and special education teachers in Lauderdale County School District last week.
🌟 We are so proud of Dr. Wildmon and Anna Grace, school psychology graduate student, for their hard work on bringing accessible, functional communication to children who are not yet able to speak orally.

This program is funded by MSCDD.

Congratulations to our 4th-Year Doctoral Students!

We are thrilled to announce that 100% of our Mississippi State University School Psychology 4th-year doctoral students successfully matched during Phase I of the 2026 APPIC Internship Match!

Even more exciting-every student secured a paid, APA-accredited internship site.

This achievement reflects the exceptional dedication of our students, the strength of our training model, and the commitment of our faculty to preparing highly skilled, practice-ready school psychologists.

We are incredibly proud of this cohort and can’t wait to see the meaningful impact they will make in schools, clinics, and communities across the country.
