Msstate Active Minds Active Minds is an organization working to utilize the student voice and to change the conversation about mental health on Mississippi State's campus.

Hey, my names Alexis Wilson and I am one of the co-presidents of active minds. I am an elementary Education major! I have always struggled with mental health and opening up about it. Active minds has taught me that it is okay to speak about your feelings and your mental health matters too! I love active minds because I get to change the conversation about mental health and letting people know that they are not alone even though they might feel like it at the time.

Hi! I'm Alana Buchanan. I'm a co-president of Active Minds here. I'm a junior Psych major and I wanted to share why Active Minds is so important to me. Mental health is something I have personally struggled with due to my anxiety,and I believe it's important that people know they are needed in this world and are important. Active Minds has given me an outlet for my passion of helping others and myself work on their mental health. Active Minds is a big part of my life and it brings me joy that we're able to help someone in need. My tip for everyone I would say is be kind to everyone You never know what they're going through. A smile or a compliment can make someone's whole day.
