Yesterday, we had the honor of hosting Professor Clint Walker as he gave a lecture as if it were his last. “Corporate Culture, profit, and the value of the humanities” dove into the monetization of education for corporate gain, and the true value of the humanities in higher education. Professor Walker discussed the importance of education to enrich minds for a fulfilling life, remarking, “today’s students are viewed as paying customers rather than young minds that should be molded and shaped.” Professor Walker equates the teachings of the humanities to the teachings of love and passion, quoting Hamlet and other important literary works.
Thank you to everyone who came to join us, we had an amazing turnout! And a huge thank you to Professor Walker for your incredible insight on the value of higher education.
“Long live the humanities and long live love”
