✨ Welcome back, Social Work students!
We hope your first week is going well and that you are settling into the semester with only a reasonable amount of chaos.

Our first Social Work Club (Student Advisory Council) meeting of Fall 2026 is this Friday, September 4 at 5:30 PM in UC 225.
🍕 Pizza and beverages will be provided

Here is what we will do:
• Quick introductions
• Hear updates from each cohort
• Share ways to get involved this semester

Opportunities include:
• Cohort representative roles (BSW online, BSW in person, MSW cohorts)
• Student Evaluation Committee (SEC): We are seeking 4–5 students for the academic year. The SEC supports course and faculty evaluations, reviews student progress, and assists with departmental assessment in alignment with CSWE guidelines. This is a strong service opportunity for your CV or resume. If interested, please reach out to Dr. Jen Molloy by September 14.

The Social Work Club is gathering next week, and the invitation reaches a little further than logistics. It is an opening for us to imagine what our community can become when we build it with intention, care, and creativity. 🌿

We are planning an off‑campus Social Work Community Social—something warm, welcoming, and rooted in the values that guide our field. This meeting is our space to dream aloud together for this event and others:
💡 activities that spark connection
🎨 creative, community‑minded fundraising ideas
🤝 a gathering shaped by belonging, celebration, and collective care

Your voice will help us design events that feel grounded, joyful, and truly reflective of who we are as a Social Work community.

Join the Social Work Club for Our First Official Meeting! We are now ASUM-Recognized!

The Social Work Club invites all students to join us as we begin the semester with a space dedicated to student voice, collaboration, and community building. We are committed to promoting inclusive, trauma‑informed engagement, strengthening communication within the School of Social Work, and upholding NASW values through advocacy and connection. Every student is welcome, and your insight will help guide our goals and activities for the year.
