Congratulations to Michelle Couture, a graduate nursing student in the University of South Alabama College of Nursing, on receiving the American Journal of Nursing / Thelma Schorr Scholarship from Nurses Educational Funds.

Michelle is studying to become both a family and emergency nurse practitioner through the USA College of Nursing.

Dr. Natalie Baker, Executive Officer of the Alabama Board of Nursing, visited the University of South Alabama (USA) College of Nursing and met with College administration and faculty. Dr. Baker and Dr. Heather Hall, Dean of the USA College of Nursing, toured the USA Simulation Lab. It was a pleasure meeting with Dr. Baker. The College administration and faculty look forward to collaborating with Dr. Baker in her role as Executive Officer.

The University of South Alabama College of Nursing is proud to share that Carol Pierce has been selected to the CAPES Academy at Emory University.

The Academy for Clinical Instructor and Preceptor Excellence in the Southeast is a year-long program focused on strengthening clinical teaching, preceptorship and nursing education leadership.
