Spring Hill College welcomed Mayor Spiro Cheriogotis to campus for a visit to the Annette N. Shelby Health and Science Innovation Center in recognition of Building Safety Month. Selected as the only site for this year’s observance, the center highlights the collaboration, safety, and quality shaping the future of healthcare education in our region.

Set to open for students in Spring 2027, this transformative space will expand opportunities across nursing, pre-med, exercise science, and health sciences programs. Thank you to our community leaders, campus partners, and supporters helping make this vision possible.

What a memorable Commencement weekend on The Hill. 🎓💜

While the weather moved us from the Avenue of the Oaks to the Outlaw Center, the celebration was still nothing short of beautiful. We are incredibly proud of the Class of 2026 for reaching this major milestone and grateful to all the family and friends who traveled near and far to celebrate this special moment together.

A special thank you to our Commencement speaker Dr. Jenny Hofmeister, Archbishop Rivituso, and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to smoothly transition our ceremony due to the rain plan. Your dedication helped make the day unforgettable for our graduates and guests.

We also want to thank our incredible partners and vendors including Showbiz, Media Services, the City of Mobile, Port City Rentals, Newman’s Ambulance, Trophy Shop, Art Craft Press, and Stokley’s Garden Express for helping bring Commencement 2026 to life.

Congratulations again, graduates. Your journey on The Hill may be complete, but your Badger story is just beginning. 🦡✨

It was an honor to welcome Senator Richard Shelby back to campus last week to tour the new Annette N. Shelby Health and Science Innovation Center and see the incredible progress being made.

This transformational project was made possible through a $35 million appropriation championed by Senator Shelby, and we are deeply grateful for his support of Spring Hill College, higher education, and our mission of forming leaders in service to others.

We were proud to share this exciting milestone alongside President Van Brunt, Executive Director of Advancement Brittany Ramsey, and Jason Haig of Hoar Construction. Thank you, Senator Shelby, for your vision, leadership, and commitment to the future of healthcare education in our region.
