Meet Bro. Broderick Morrissette, a Fall 2019 initiate of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Beta Omicron Lambda Chapter.
He is a passionate higher education professional committed to building community, creating opportunities, and helping students thrive at the University of South Alabama.
He is a Prichard, AL native, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Alabama.
As Assistant Director of Strategic Initiatives in the Office of Community Engagement at the University of South Alabama, Broderick leads collaborative programs focused on student success, retention, leadership development, and first-generation student support while providing project management and assisting in the development of strategic partnerships for the office.
He also developed the office’s Campus to Career Scholarship Initiative and partnered with Chick-fil-A Emerging Talent to launch the Jag Readiness Program, helping students strengthen career readiness skills and connect with campus resources.
His recent honors include the 2026 Student Organization Advisor of the Year Award, the 2026 Barbara Shirvanian Advisor of the Year Award, and Leadership South Class of 2026. He also holds certifications in Mental Health First Aid and Gallup Strengths Coaching.
Broderick continues to serve through Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. as Corresponding Secretary for the Beta Omicron Lambda Chapter, Primary Advisor for the Theta Delta Chapter, member of the IMDP Management Team, and Public Relations Committee member.
Through service, mentorship, and leadership, he remains dedicated to uplifting students and the community while making an impact wherever he serves.
