Yesterday, the BHC Student Government Association held its retreat at the QC Campus, bringing together student leaders and campus partners to explore leadership in action through community outreach, storytelling, advocacy and engagement. Excited to see these ideas turn into impact this year!

Since 2023, Pride Alliance at Black Hawk College has created a welcoming space where students can express identity, build community and connect through shared experiences. Student leader Jen Dehm helped shape that space through events, creativity and connection that continue to grow the group’s impact on campus.

Pride Alliance first entered Black Hawk College’s (BHC) Quad Cities (QC) campus in 2023. For its members, the group has become a space where students can express themselves through identity and shared interests.

Black Hawk College and The Mockingbird are partnering to bring professional-caliber theatre, hands-on learning opportunities and meaningful storytelling to the Quad-Cities community. The collaboration kicks off with Arthur Miller's "Death of a Salesman," and community members and students are invited to audition June 25.
