CM here with PLI . Can you help spread the word among your interpreter networks for a Protactile language interpreting training opportunity?
We have an open call for Protactile language interpreter training applications RIGHT NOW.
This is for the Protactile Language Interpreting National Education Program Pilot - an intensive, immersive training with an onsite component and opportunity for applied experience in the DeafBlind community. (12.0 CEUs PS, PPO)
We are only focusing on building capacity in 9 states: CA, IL, LA, MA, MN, NC, NY, TX, and WA. We hope to select 2-3 folks per state for this first Pilot starting in early 2023. If you are someone who works with DeafBlind folks in one of these states, please apply! Applications close Friday, 11/18 at 11:59pm PT.
More info can be found here . Please help us distribute this far and wide.
Reach out with any questions. We'd love to have more applicants from your state. Thank you!
