Internships, independent studies

, and student-held positions on campus (such as speech assistants) give students an outlet to practice their combined communication abilities and talents in cooperation with their liberal arts course values. The major offers a unique and varied assortment of specialties including job opportunities in business and industry, government and social services, education, and media and performing arts.

Students in Small Group Communication, one of the college’s Community Engagement courses, collaborated with Recharge Teen Center to prepare for and execute the annual Quarter Auction. 2 groups reached out to potential supporters, kept track of and collected donations, helped with event setup, secured food donations, and made items to sell at the concession stand (the cake pops were a hit!). This year, several Monmouth College offices donated auction items - MC Admissions, ASAP and Tartan Threads! Aramark Food Service was very generous with food donations! We appreciate your support! Thanks also to Recharge Teen Center staff and teens for the opportunity to help you raise funds to support your mission-driven work.
