On Behalf of Alpha Alpha Chapter
We don’t even know where to begin…
The weight of this loss is something we are all carrying together, and it is heavy. The tears have not stopped. The silence in the room feels louder than any music we’ve ever danced to. We find ourselves looking at each other, trying to be strong, but breaking at the same time—because how do you process losing someone who meant so much to all of us?
Michael King… our Ace, our Captain, our Leader.
Never forgotten. Never replaceable.
Right now, we are grieving deeply. We are holding each other, crying together, sharing memories that make us laugh one moment and fall apart the next. The emotions are overwhelming. There’s a pain in knowing that the energy you brought, the light you carried, and the presence that filled every space… won’t walk through that door again the same way.
But Michael wasn’t just a name.
He was excellence.
He was discipline.
He was passion in motion.
As a model, he didn’t just wear the look—he became it. Every pose told a story. Every step was intentional. He understood presence in a way that most people spend a lifetime trying to learn. When he hit the floor, the room shifted. Eyes locked in. Hearts racing. Because Michael didn’t just perform… he commanded.
And as a dancer…
There are no words strong enough.
He moved with purpose. With fire. With grace and power all at once. He didn’t just dance to music—he became the music. Every beat lived in his body. Every rhythm flowed through his spirit. And when he danced, you didn’t just watch—you felt him. You felt his joy, his hunger, his determination, his story.
He pushed us.
He led us.
He believed in us—even when we didn’t believe in ourselves.
He was the one who would say, “Run it again.”
The one who stayed after.
The one who made sure nobody got left behind.
The one who carried the standard and made sure we all rose to meet it.
Our Ace. Our #1.
The entire line—his brotherhood and sisterhood—is made up of 8 individuals:
D.S. 8 : Art 2 O.O.D.
His chapter, a family of 23 strong, stands together as one:
The Artistically Abundant (formerly known as the Ambiguous Am******on)
Alpha Alpha Chapter of Delta Phi Delta Dance Fraternity, INC.
And within that legacy, he carried a name that will echo forever—
V.E.R.S.A.C.E.
We love you.
And now, we’re left with memories… beautiful, powerful, unforgettable memories. The laughs, the practices, the long nights, the moments where we grew together—not just as dancers, but as a family.
Michael, we want you to know something…
We are hurting.
We are crying.
We are missing you in ways words can’t explain.
But we are also promising you…
We will carry your name with honor.
We will dance with your spirit in every step.
We will push harder, move stronger, and love deeper—because that’s what you taught us.
We will make you proud.
Every April 26th, we will stand together and honor you—
We now proclaim and will forever recognize “Versace Day” within Alpha Alpha.
A day of remembrance. A day of legacy. A day of reverence for our brother.
You didn’t just lead us while you were here…
You left a legacy that will continue to lead us even now.
D.S. 8 : Art 2 O.O.D. loves you our Ace #1.
Forever in our hearts. Forever in our steps. Forever our Captain.
Rest easy, Michael King.
You are never forgotten. 🕊️
We will listen to Beyoncè and Solange for you.
