MCCC’s Take Flight: Aviation Summer Camp is a weeklong opportunity for students in grades 9-12 who are curious about what it takes to work in aviation.

Camp topics include problem-solving, aerodynamics, aircraft systems, navigation and potential career pathways. Students will reinforce what they learn through interactive workshops, scenario-based exercises, and realistic flight simulation using MCCC’s Redbird MCX simulator.

A highlight of the camp is a day at Custer Airport in Monroe. Students will experience drone flight operations and take a short introductory flight in an aircraft piloted by Monroe Aviation.

Take a look inside the new Arthur Lesow Community Center this Monday and experience this exciting addition to our community firsthand.

The City of Monroe, alongside our community partners, is excited to welcome the community to the Grand Opening of the Arthur Lesow Community Center!

This incredible, newly expanded space, now more than 28,000 square feet, has been designed with the whole community in mind, including a community living room, larger and more flexible gathering spaces, a media studio, a dedicated youth activity area, and a relaxing reading terrace.

The Center also houses the new Lillian Steward Navarre Branch Library, provides a larger space for the Learning Bank, and will allow the Opportunity Center to expand programs and services for residents of all ages.

This project has truly been a community effort. Thank you to everyone who played a role in bringing it to life.

Lead and asbestos are present in both general industry and construction. Many construction activities—such as demolition, renovation, repair, and painting—can disturb these hazardous materials, especially in buildings constructed before 1981.

The MCCC Absestos and Lead combined awareness course covers the forms, uses, regulations, and health effects of asbestos and lead exposure. Designed for general industry and construction employees who may contact (but not disturb) ACM or PACM, this is an MTI Level One & Two Elective Construction Course.

Tuesday, June 2
8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Today, we honor and reflect upon the brave men and women who lost their lives in service to our great nation. Their commitment to something greater than themselves will never be forgotten.

In tribute, our campus is lined with American flags, serving as a powerful reminder.

Every spring, Lily the duck chooses the MCCC courtyard as her nesting spot, and this year was no different. 🐣 Yesterday, Lily and her ducklings made their annual “graduation march” through campus as staff gently guided them from the courtyard to their new home outside—and it was a heartwarming success!
