The Raíces Recruitment and Retention Center (formerly known as Raza RRC) is one of seven student-led on-campus organizations at the UC Berkeley campus. They aim to provide support to marginalized students of color with a primary focus on uplifting Latine-identifying students. RTSP aims to provide transfer students from all across the state with assistance in planning, drafting, and submitting their UC application and Personal Insight Questions (PIQ) before the November 30th deadline. Students will have the opportunity to connect with current UCB students and alumni. Students will also have the opportunity to have their PIQs reviewed by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

We will be meeting biweekly every Saturday via Zoom starting October 9th from 10 AM - 12 PM. The deadline for prospective students to apply is October 2nd at midnight. This program will prioritize Latine-identifying students who are applying this application cycle.

Yesterday's murder of Daunte Wright in Brooklyn Park, MN has left us with yet another loss in the string of attacks against communities of color. Monterey Peninsula Community College condemns all forms of discrimination, racism, and violence, and stands in solidarity with our African American students, staff, faculty, and our surrounding communities.

To provide support to those who are angry, hurting, and in need, MPC has organized safe space conversations on Tuesday - Friday from 12-1 pm on Zoom. Our hope is to create a create safe space for our African American students and others in our MPC campus community impacted by anti-Black violence.

Please reach out to one of the following individuals for the Zoom link to join us in these conversations:
