Hello, my name is Katie Chimento! I am a senior Pre-nursing Major and have been racing bikes for almost 10 years now. I first raced for Pelham High School and now coach for them and this is my 4th year on the Montevallo Team. I race XC and short track currently but I am also interested in racing Dual Slalom! Hello, my name is Jax Phelps! I am a senior majoring in Environmental Studies with a minor in Ecology. I have been cycling for 14 years and raced for the Helena Mtb team throughout middle and high school. I’ve also been a member of the University of Montevallo cycling team for the past three years. My name is Wilson Davis and I am a sophomore pursuing a BBA in Accounting. I first started riding during 2020 and joined the Oak Mountain MTB team in 2021, I then raced on Red Mountain my senior year. In 2024, I joined the Montevallo team, racing the omnium. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

WE ARE BACK!!!

A quick recap of what happened last year.
On July 7th, 2025, the cycling program was temporarily cut, and on August 25th, 2025 the program was officially reinstated. The team was back, but due to the temporary cut, we were without a coach and we were unsure what the future of the team looked like. We were able to race the 2025 mountain season fully supported. While athletes , Hannah Dyer, , and .phelps were off racing, athletes and .toone._ were staying on campus meeting with the Athletic Director and other staff members to get the team back on it’s feet. We have been quiet while we restructured, but we are back and here to stay, with the full support of the University of Montevallo Athletic Department as an official program.

We would like to invite all High School riders interested in taking their riding to the next level to join us for a team ride and lunch on January 31st, 2026!
