Our faculty and students attended the annual Alabama Conference of Social Work on February 26 in Orange Beach! Our students gained valuable knowledge and perspectives from social workers around the state.
Additionally, the Social Work program celebrated its 100-year anniversary of social work education at the University of Montevallo! Any alumni who attended the conference were invited to celebrate this huge milestone with us. We look forward to what the next 100 years bring!

On February 24, students from our Social Policy class traveled to Montgomery to participate in the Alabama Arise Action Legislative Day. During this event, students had the opportunity to meet Alabama lawmakers and advocate for policy changes to improve the lives of fellow Alabamians.
We were so excited to participate in this event and have the opportunity to make our voices heard!

Everyone give a big congratulations to two of our Social Work students for presenting their research today at Undergraduate Research Day!

Macie, a senior Social Work student, researched the Effects of Virtual Care on Client Dishonesty with her faculty mentor, Dr. Brendan Beal.

Ravyn, a senior Social Work student, researched How Technology Aids Human Trafficking with her faculty mentor, Dr. Brendan Beal.
