Building Resilience from the Inside Out: A Framework for Navigating Loss and Grief
Loss and grief are not problems to be solved but experiences to be navigated, and the professionals who walk alongside grieving individuals and families need more than empathy alone. They need a clear, practical framework grounded in how resilience actually develops. This keynote explores resilience not only as an inborn trait that some people simply have, but as a capacity that can be intentionally strengthened from the inside out through self-awareness, meaning-making, connection, and the daily practices that help us bend without breaking.
Drawing on The Navigating Grief Framework, this session offers practitioners a shared language and structured approach for understanding where someone is in their grief and what kind of support will serve them best. Participants will leave with a renewed perspective on their own resilience as helpers, along with concrete tools they can bring directly into their work with clients, patients, and families facing life's most difficult transitions.
