Everyone please give a big congratulations to three of our SLP students, Lily, Aspen, and Jill, on their presentations at Undergraduate Research Day!

Lily, a senior SLP student, presented a poster researching Preschool teachers' knowledge, understanding, and beliefs regarding children with speech sound disorders and inclusion in the general education setting in Shelby County, Alabama, with her faculty mentor, Dr. Henton.

Aspen, a junior SLP student, gave an oral presentation on Creating a Culturally Sensitive Language Screener, with her faculty mentor, Dr. Middleton.

Jill, a senior SLP student, gave an oral presentation on The Perspectives and Communication Decisions of Parents with Children Who Have Hearing Loss, with her faculty mentor, Dr. Henton.

We are so proud of everything these students accomplished and can't wait to see what they achieve next!

Today, the College of Health Professions hosted 73 students from the Lecroy Career Technical Center to learn more about the majors that the College has to offer!

Dr. Vansant, Dr. Henton, and Mrs. Kirkland were excited to share information on the Speech-Language Pathology and Social Work professions, as well as participate in some hands-on activities with our tracheostomy training dummy.
